Michael Anderson, Managing Partner and Co-Founder
Michael Anderson is the managing partner and co-founder of BluTrend. Prior to founding BluTrend LLC, Mr. Anderson founded USIEnergy, Inc. in 1996, a turnkey provider of utility billing, customer service and energy management services to over 500,000 apartment units nationwide. USIEnergy, Inc. established itself as a leader in marketing to large national accounts and REITs as well as many other private large apartment owners. Prior to founding USIEnergy Inc., Mr. Anderson had a successful 11 year career working for Schlumberger in various functions from oil and gas exploration in Texas and Louisiana and international experience as a location manager in the desert of Oman and Yemen before transferring to Schlumberger Industries, where he gained valuable knowledge of utility market and Automatic Meter Reading Technologies. Mr. Anderson has an Electrical Engineering degree from University of Pittsburgh as well as Bachelor of Science in Math with minors in Physics and Computer Science from St. Vincent College.

Tony Anderson, Partner and Co-Founder
Tony Anderson is a partner and co-founder of BluTrend LLC. Prior to founding BluTrend, Tony Anderson was Executive Vice President for USIEnergy responsible for all operating functions of the Company. He joined the company in 1996 and has extensive experience in Automatic Meter Reading Systems (AMR), meters, CIS and billing. Tony Anderson has served in the capacity of General Manager, Vice President of Operations and Vice President of Billing Operations. Before joining USIEnergy, he was a Regional Manager for Schlumberger Industries.

Jim Kjolhede, Partner
Jim Kjolhede is the President and founder of multifamily consulting firm, Satteron Enterprise. Mr. Kjolhede previously served as Chief Operating Officer of Archon Residential in Irving Texas from 2000 to 2005, overseeing the operation of 51,000 apartment units in 25 states. From 1998 to 2000, Mr. Kjolhede served as Division Vice President for AIMCO managing 85,000 units in the Western division. Mr. Kjolhede has been involved in all aspects of multi-family operations, acquisitions and dispositions for over 25 years and has overseen over 200,000 assets in over 40 states. Mr. Kjolhede is often a keynote speaker and panel presenter in numerous multi-family conferences and seminars.

Brian King, Partner
Prior to joining BluTrend, Brian King was the lead developer at USIEnergy, Inc, where he was responsible for development of software solutions for the company’s Energy Management Services such as Vacant Cost Recovery (VCR) system. Prior to USIEnergy, Mr. King was the chief software architect at DreamMaker Studios and the head IT project manager with MCI’s External Commissions group. Mr. King has a Master of Information Technology degree as well as degrees in Finance, Real Estate and Urban Analysis in addition to minors in Accounting and International Business.
